The design of the slender NURO series is the epitome of contemporary style. This is a modern interpretation of the ‘Fyrtønde’, one of the very first steel stoves designed by the architect Hans Dahl in the 1970s. The NURO is available in different heights – 100 cm or 120 cm, with optional side windows and drawer/wood compartment door. Being a completely cylindrical stove the NURO is perfectly at home in either corner or free-standing installations.
The design of the slender NURO series is the epitome of contemporary style. The NURO is available in different heights – 100 cm or 120 cm, with optional side windows and optional drawer or log storage compartment. Being a completely cylindrical stove the NURO is perfectly at home in either corner or free-standing installations.
As an alternative to the steel top plate you can opt for a ‘Fyrtønde-Top’. This is a modern interpretation of a design classic with steel bars to put a kettle on. Other options include top plates of soapstone, sandstone, lavastone, etc. With a top plate made of natural stone the NURO has up to 36 kg of heat storage. In addition we offer a choice of different coloured ceramic top plates which are filled with heat accumulation concrete to enhance their heat storage properties.
The NURO 160 is a highly effective ‘heat saving stove’. Up to 90 kg of hidden heat storage can be integrated behind the stove’s stylish steel covering and when combined with additional visible heat storage of natural stone, then amazingly up to 140 kg of heat mass, sitting directly over the fire chamber, can be achieved. The NURO 160 can easily be turned from a convection stove into a radiant stove by using its simple control lever. The NURO 160 is available with or without side windows. The drawer under the fire chamber offers practical storage space for gloves etc. The stove can be either top or rear flued. A top plate made from one of our natural stones will provide the NURO with an extra 36 kg of heat storage. Other options include top plates made from Soapstone, Sandstone and Lavastone etc. In addition we offer a choice of different coloured ceramic top plates which are filled with heat accumulation concrete to enhance their heat storage properties.
The footprint of the versatile new VECTO stove echoes a stylishly curved V shape making it an excellent choice for a corner location or in a more traditional position along a wall – either way a superb un-interrupted view of the fire is assured. Its slender proportions (an impressive 116 cm high but with a depth of only 45 cm) also lend the VECTO to narrow locations where hearth space is limited but a strong visual impact is still required. Thanks to the DAN SKAN® iAir™ and the new DAN SKAN® SmartControl™ option the VECTO can be specified as either a high output high-performance stove in the normal way or alternatively as a totally automatic stove designed to work effectively and efficiently at lower outputs in a highly insulated home or ‘passive house‘. The VECTO‘s big 38 cm wide fire chamber can easily accommodate larger logs of about 33 cm long and the generous convection gap around the circumference of the top plate ensures fast and effective heat distribution throughout the living space. The VECTO is available with or without side windows.
With its large glass area the sleek new ORBIT is one of the latest stars in the DAN SKAN stove collection. The ORBIT's powerful fire chamber, which has an internal width of 38 cm, will easily take logs of 33 cm long to ensure a generous and effcient heat output for the larger room. Its gentle oval footprint will allow it to sit equally well in a corner location and the wide choice of exclusive natural stone or ceramic covering options also add to the ORBIT‘s versatility and visual appeal. With the addition of several top plates you can even recon gure the ORBIT to deliver an effective 120kg of heat storage turning it into a very attractive ‘heat storage stove‘. DAN SKAN‘s patented DAN SKAN® iAir™, which ensures that the ORBIT‘s combustion remains highly ef cient as well enviromentally friendly throughout the burn cycle, is a standard feature. However, the most important aspect of the new ORBIT is DAN SKAN‘s ground-breaking new user friendly DAN SKAN® SmartControl™ option which makes it the ideal stove choice for low energy houses. The new ORBIT – the centre of a beautifully warm home.
Introducing the LOGO – DAN SKAN’s stunning new stove design specially created to celebrate our 40th Anniversary – 1972–2012! The LOGO’s good looks are a logical union of classic and con- temporary aesthetics embodied in our CLASSIC LINE and MODERN LINE stoves. The LOGO is built around our modern fire chamber developed to burn with external air only and which has passed the exacting German Institute of Building Regulations test (DIBt). At 120cm tall, its style follows DAN SKAN’s renowned classic lines featuring visually striking vertical side elements combined with a 40 mm thick top plate made of natural stones or ceramics. The contemporary door design, concealed hinges features, a large glass area and the extra high fire chamber provides an un- interupted view of the wonderful flame patterns.
The SIRIO is a stylish new variant of the successful ORBIT, but featuring DAN SKAN‘s traditional design characteristics of subtle curves and famous attention to detail. The powerful6kW nominal output fire chamber will easily take large wood logs of up to 33 cm long, minimising the number of times you need to refuel, and with DAN SKAN® iAir™ as standard, the SIRIO is a wonderfully user-friendly stove to own and operate. With the addition of the revolutionary DAN SKAN® Smartcontrol™ system option, at the touch of a button it‘s also becomes even easier to maximise performance efficiency and minimise smoke emissions throughout the entire burn cycle. Better still, the DAN SKAN® Smartcontrol™, can quickly pay for itself with the amount of fuel that it can save you and if there‘s ever a power failure then you can simply revert to the SIRIO‘s responsive manual control. Like the ORBIT, the SIRIO‘s external air system and DIBt tested room seal make it the perfect practical solution for today‘s low energy home. With our wide range of natural stone covers, the SIRIO can also become an excellent heat storage stove offering up to 120kg mass of long lasting slow-release heat. For many people though, probably the most important part of SIRIO‘s package will be its timeless elegance – and the great big picture window view of the stunning clean burning flame patterns.
Another very popular classic stove!
The numerous imitations are simply missing the balance and the harmonic proportions which is the real essence of the TOPO. This finely tuned mix has ensured that the TOPO continues to be one of our best-selling stoves. The structured, slender sides are inspired by the classical Greek column. The wide panoramic glass front and the clean burn technology using the DAN SKAN automatic system make the TOPO a unique design both visually and technically.
The RONDO N is a further development of the classic RONDO: a traditional looking Danish stove in conception, but with a very modern interpretation. Its extra high doors with outside ceramic glass offer a big 150º view of the fire. Heating experts value the double door technology of the RONDO stoves… the right door is to refuel and the left door is used as a carbon and spark protection. The special after-burning system of the DAN SKAN automatic air regulation, means that the highoutput RONDO N delivers up to 10 kW heat output but is also able to burn very cleanly at 3 kW output to give you a comprehensive range of heat options in between.
